Our immediate staff includes a number of freelance animators, story board artists, inbetweeners, clean-up artists and colorists. We can currently be commissioned for small projects at very reasonable rates.
Our focus is primarily traditional 2D cell animation, using Macromedia Flash.
However, we do have the ability to work in 3D. We are currently involved in several new Animation projects, which we can not showcase on the website just yet. Contact us if you would be interested in seeing additional samples or a price quote on your next project.
Smorgasbord Productions was hired by the Torrey Pines Nature Preserve to create the character Henrietta the Heron. The animations combine a 2D animated character composite with a live action background.

To help illustrate the world of dreams, we were asked to illustrate such favorites as "Finger Fairies" "Group Sex Interrupted by Tsunami" and "Godzilla Kicks My Butt."
We also completed an entire animated short for the show! It is entitled "Bedroom Invaded by Film Crew" and is in fact a dream spawned by David Kolodny-Nagy himself. The project was written, directed and animated by Kolodny-Nagy with assists by Danny Gheen and Frank Arvizu. James, the editor extraordinaire, provided the audio mix. The show's original air date was Monday, February 10th 2003.
