Supa Pirate Booty Hunt Rally
Come show your support for your favorite pirates as show creators Dahveed & Steve deck themselves out in costume & parade down to the marina to set sail for adventure & to pitch their cartoon for the 7200 Frames competition! Bribes for your support will come in the form of SPBH buttons & shirts! Our group will be meeting under sails at Portfolio Review Area and from there marching down to Gate 1, A Dock behind the Hyatt Hotel to set sail.

Description

Smorgasbord Productions is an animation studio that creates animation for clients such as G4’s Attack of the Show as well as own animated TV shows such as Supa Pirate Booty Hunt and Mad Beanz! We will primarily looking for talented animators, storyboard and layout artists. Comic book portfolios will also be reviewed, but to a lesser extent.

Anime Expo 2009 Smorgasbord Panel!

Smorgasbord Productions presents “How to Create Animation on the Cheap”

As an animator and designer, Dahveed Kolodny-Nagy has worked on many animation projects from the Coca-Cola Times Square Spectacular to animated segments for G4’s Attack of the Show and original flash webisodes for SupaPirateBootyHunt.com -Always on a tight budget and with little time!

At this panel Dahveed will present recent projects and demonstrate how they got done for a dime and on deadline. Will also include a hands-on exercise so bring pencil and paper! Draw-off this Saturday

SMORGASBORD PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
THE FIRST ANNUAL DRAW-OFF!

WHEN:
Saturday Sept 8th 2007 10am-

WHERE:
Plaza Del Sol
At the MikomiCon

CONTESTANTS:
You may be any age but must be able to draw. You may bring any drawing utensils (pencils, pen, markers) and paper you prefer drawing on. A limited amount of paper and markers will be available at the event.

THE RULES:
A panel of 3 judges will score contestants in a series of 5 drawings. Each drawing will be strictly limited to a 1 minute time period that will start and end with a bell. After the second bell sounds contestants must stop drawing after three seconds or be disqualified.

The five drawings are:
-Bowl of fruit
-Mario (Nintendo)
-a Transformer (Hasbro)
-Mad Beanz! Character (Smorgasbord)
-life drawing (To Be Announced)

Judges will score drawings on a scale of 1 to 10. Drawings will be judged on style, composition and completeness. At the end of all five drawings, scores will be tabulated and the winners will be declared.

THE PRIZES:
Winners will receive fabulous prizes from Smorgasbord Productions, ToyHell.com and other generous sponsors.
