This is Dahveed!
from Smorgasbord Productions.
I wanted to wish you all a great holiday season. This year we had great fortune to work with the charity Music Saves Lives and the band 3OH!3 to create a very unique animation project "Nurse, Boobies Please." The project played across the nation, encouraging young adults to donate blood and took home 6 awards from the Burbank International Film Festival.
But we don't want to stop there. We want to keep rolling along with our next animated project "Metal in my Shell" which will feature Dave Mustaine from Megadeth as he faces off against the Supa Pirate Booty Hunt crew, Zack and Daniel, in a rock-off that will warp the boundaries of time and space!! Dave has already recorded his voice and as you can see from this sample animation, he is looking great animated! Although our upcoming project promises to be our best one yet we ran into some severe difficulties. The charity Music Saves Lives had their funding pulled! Not only is there no funding for this project but we are still unable to pay our team for the last one. Although we are not paying ourselves, I have always taken pride in being able to pay my animation team something, however little, for their hard work.
So this project will literally not be possible without some help from our friends. For that we have started a Kickstarter campaign. But I'm all about giving as much ...or more than I receive. So backers will be getting some amazing rewards. Among other rewards, I will turn you (or one of your friends and family) into a CARTOON CHARACTER in the animation, give you producer credit, create an original color drawing for you, etc. Please take a quick look at our Kickstarter page. If you can't back us then please "like" us on facebook, tweet, and help spread the word.
In other news, we are still working hard- both on our own animated
productions including Mad Beanz, Teapot, and
Supa Pirate Booty Hunt as well
on projects for our clients including G4's Attack
of the Show. We have ventured into producing games and now have a playable demo of our game Teapot Rap It Up. Still rough but you can now play the first round and get an idea of the game play. Look for much more on the game in 2012! Feel free to call on me
personally or any of my co-workers for your projects in
2011, 2012 and beyond!! For anyone out there needing animation or design assistance we'll be happy to lend you our skills. Or if you
want to lend your support to any of our original animated
productions your help will be most appreciated.
Anyway, have
an awesome Turkey Day!
best regards,
